Family Feud....Scrap Addicts Edition!

If you weren't able to join us at our last crop, we wanted to share some of the great games we played with our scrappy friends!
One of our old favourites is Scrapbook Blind - where contestants have to do things but can't see what they were doing.   This one we played quite late at night so it was tougher than normal!
The ladies were asked to place a piece of paper behind their backs and cut out a star, a heart, and a flower....it was pretty impressive what they could do!  Check out Kassandra's heart in this pic!

This crop, we played a new game for us....Family Feud!   We gave the ladies in the room a little survey and then had two teams of 5 gals up to play.  It was a ton of fun but we know not everyone could hear the answers so we thought we would post them here.

Crop Weekend - Recipes!

We are finally caught up after spending 3 fabulous days with 50 of our scrappy friends for National Scrapbook Weekend!  It was such a fun weekend - lots of laughs, beautiful creations, and so much food, we didn't know what to do with it all!
We had many requests for recipes and thought it would be easiest to post it here.
Enjoy!

CREME BRULEE FRENCH TOAST (from Allrecipes.com)

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
6 (1-inch thick) slices French bread
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups half-and-half cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon brandy-based orange liqueur
(such as Grand Marnier®)
1/4 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS:
1.Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Mix in brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2.Remove crusts from bread, and arrange in the baking dish in a single layer. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, half and half, vanilla extract, orange brandy, and salt. Pour over the bread. Cover, and chill at least 8 hours, or overnight.
3.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Remove the dish from the refrigerator, and bring to room temperature.
4.Bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until puffed and lightly browned.

At the crop, we don't use the Grand Marnier, but Ivy says it's even yummier with it!
